It doesn’t matter even if you are trying to carve a specific niche for your website or if it is meant to sell commercial products, the keyword free in your content can indeed become your miracle tool often attracting insane amount of traffic beyond expectations. Did you know that the word “Free” is amongst the top 5 words typed in search engines?

As of today the approx avg search volume of the  word as per Google External Keyword Tool every month is 923,000,000 and 414,000,000 searches coming from US alone, the biggest online marketplace. Phew! what an unfathomable figure to encash upon. Are you taking note of this? 923,000,000 searches every month? A gazellion people. Even if you could attract 0.0001 of that traffic volume to your website using some manifestation of the keyword “free” in the prefix or suffix, and let’s say you manage to convert even 1 %  of that online traffic into customers or getting a conservative fraction to click on your adsense, you will be richer steadily.

Most often bloggers or affiliates are too busy scattering affiliate links around their site and expecting their adsense income to rise somehow. Nothing wrong in doing that but unless you learn to romance with the search engines and keywords, making money online can be highly illusive.

How to come up with a free offer?

1. Understand your niche well.
2. Do a little keyword research on the word free and pin-point related searches.  
3. Develop something in the form of a downloadable, audible, readable product and offer it for free.
( i suggest free downloads because it assures the most desired action from a visitor, like collecting emails and repeat visits) You can offer free reports, secrets, advices, tips, free photos, podcasts and anything else you can thing of.

4. If you don’t have anything original to offer then collect free stuff yourself from various sources and develop an unique collection of freebies yourself. I would not recommend it so strongly, even if you decide to do so don’t giveaway warezed or intellectual properties of others. Instead look for what is royalty free, hunt for free redistribution right materials. But still never forget to share credits of the original owner of the material.

5.  If you want this free strategy to be extended a step further in a little more professional fashion. There lies great scope in designing free prize winning contests around your niche keyword+free. You have plenty of such examples on the net. And you know it people never stop trying out their luck quotient. Yes they can’t be made to buy something so easily but free prizes and free advices are just always taken for granted. You wouldn’t be reading this article if it was meant to be “pay and read”. Everything on the internet is all about generating useful traffic.
There could be hundred readers to this article at this very moment and the next hundred information seekers arriving here only means, I have attracted more traffic to affiliatehow.com than the moment when you came in. I would love to imagine you are exactly someone who wants to know how to build online traffic for internet business and probably that’s why i have still got you interested.
